How is it possible?
How is it possible for us to pay out all this money?
The idea behind FillYourTree is that all the money goes back to the community.
The plan was to make it non-profit, and our goal is to stay as close to that as possible.
When you fill your tree, all the money from branch 3 goes to you:
8 people pay €400 each, and that equals your payout of €3200.
When the people in your first branch fill their tree, all the money from branch 4 goes to branch 1:
And all the money from branch 5 goes to branch 2, all the money from branch 6 goes to branch 3 and so on, and so on. So in theory 100% of all the money goes back to the community.
In reality we need some money to cover our running costs.
Websites, computers, support staff, offices, electricity, advertising etc costs money, so when people join we get €19 and when they fill their tree we get €69 to make sure the company runs smoothly.
This is still amazingly good, as a whooping total of 93,4% goes directly back to the community.
This number is unrivaled by any other company as far as we know.
